Our journey and progress
How we are making a difference in the lives of medically fragile children and their families, and the strides we’re making in communities nationwide...

The Power of Education and Awareness

Over 494,872 people have been reached in just a little over 3 months!

Jonathan, who co-founded Ryan House, and Tieal from A Rosie Place for Children, are founders of two of only a handful of children’s respite homes currently in America

"Every story shared, every policy influenced, brings us closer to a world where our children's needs are understood and met. The awareness raised is our voice, reaching out to those who can make our dream of accessible respite care a reality."

“In our world of constant medical care and uncertainty, the awareness and understanding generated by Children’s Respite Homes of America give us hope. Their campaigns shed light on our challenges, helping the community see the vital need for respite homes where our children can thrive and we, as families, can find solace.”

Empowering Community Change-Makers

The U.S. has only a handful of dedicated community-based home programs – we need at least one in every community – hundreds across the country to fill the substantial care gap for these 1 Million Children and their families!

"We've seen the impact firsthand – passionate leaders, joining Children’s Respite Homes of America, are bringing to life the respite homes more desperately need. These homes are more than buildings; they're places of joy, rest, and invaluable support for our families."

-Tieal Bishop, a mom who founded and operates A Rosie Place for Children in South Bend, Indiana, one of only a handful children’s respite homes in America

“We’ve seen local heroes rise, inspired by the support of Children’s Respite Homes of America. Their guidance and resources are empowering these leaders to build respite homes – sanctuaries where our children receive loving care, and we get the rest we so desperately need."

-John Santamaria board member at the National Center for Pediatric Palliative Care Homes who is driving to have a respite home for Children in Tampa/St Pete, Florida

Real Progress in Real Communities

From the heartwarming story of a nurse in Hawaii ,to the collective effort in Massachusetts, discover how these initiatives will change lives…

Over 20,000 children on life-limiting journeys and their families across the US could soon have access to the community-based overnight respite they so desperately need, thanks to the education and awareness campaigns of Children’s Respite Homes of America.

Four new community leaders connected with us from Florida, Hawaii, Massachusetts, and North Carolina – states that currently have ZERO dedicated community-home care models providing these critical services today.

Florida has ZERO dedicated children’s respite homes available to support families. We coach and mentor passionate leaders like Lisa to realize their dreams, so thousands of children and families get the care they so desperately seek.

North Carolina has ZERO dedicated children’s respite homes available to support families. We coach and mentor passionate leaders like Dr. Anna to realize their dreams, so thousands of children and families get the care they so desperately seek.

Hawaii has ZERO dedicated children’s respite homes available to support families. We coach and mentor passionate leaders like Joline to realize their dreams, so thousands of children and families get the care they so desperately seek.

Massachusetts has ZERO dedicated children’s respite homes available to support families. We coach and mentor passionate leaders like Kate to realize their dreams, so thousands of children and families get the care they so desperately seek.

We're tracking progress, and won't stop until every need is filled for medically fragile children and families.
